Description

An original Archibald Knox designed pewter tankard for Liberty & Co, produced as part of the celebrated Tudric range in the early 20th century.

Knox’s work for Liberty is now recognised as some of the finest British Arts & Crafts metalware of the period. This example is beautifully restrained — a classic cylindrical form with domed hinged lid and elegant thumbpiece, typical of Knox’s refined Celtic-influenced aesthetic.

Stamped to the underside with Tudric mark and model number.

A superb piece of Liberty metalware — equally at home in a serious Arts & Crafts collection or styled in a contemporary interior.
