A delightful pair of 18th to early 19th century Delftware jugs, decorated in soft blue on a creamy tin-glazed ground.
Each jug is hand-thrown with a baluster body, shaped pouring lip and applied loop handle. The decoration features a stylised floral spray with scrolling detail, framed by simple blue line banding to the neck and base. The glaze has developed a gentle craquelure over time, adding to their character and authenticity.
These are honest, decorative pieces with visible age. Both show rim fritting and small chips consistent with use and period, along with surface wear and minor glaze imperfections typical of early Delftware. They remain structurally sound and display beautifully.
A charming pair for a dresser, shelf or country table setting — equally lovely styled with flowers or as standalone decorative objects.
