Victorian cranberry glass is a type of coloured glass created by adding gold oxide or gold chloride to molten glass, resulting in a distinct pink to deep red hue. Highly popular in late 19th-century Britain, it was frequently used for decorative stemware, pitchers, and table accessories.

These glasses were traditionally hand-blown by artisans who shaped the coloured bowl before fusing it onto a clear glass stem and flat circular foot. Small variations in glass thickness, subtle pontil marks on the base, and minor air bubbles are characteristic of this manual production process.
