Description

A fantastic Victorian hinged bangle encrusted with dozens of hand-faceted rose-cut garnets. The front of the bracelet is topped with a large star/flower-shaped cluster which is stacked in layers, giving a lovely dimensional aspect.

The garnets are set into richly gilded metal.

SIZE: The bangle is approximately seven inches internal diameter. The back is just under a centimetre wide, rising to approximately 3.3cm north-south at the front.

WEIGHT: 29.7g.

MATERIALS: Garnet, gilded metal.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: None.

CONDITION: Excellent antique condition.

ERA: Victorian (c.1837-1901).
