Description

Pretty little Victorian earrings with glowing rose-cut garnets arranged in a trefoil or clover shape. The screwback fittings (likely later) are solid nine-carat gold, the chains and garnet settings are "garnet gold" - a description used to describe a very low carat gold or gilded base metal typically used in Victorian garnet jewellery.

SIZE: 3 x 0.9cm.

WEIGHT: 2.4g.

MATERIALS: Garnet, nine-carat (375) gold screws, metal.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: The screws are stamped 9CT.

CONDITION: Excellent antique condition.

ERA: Estimated Victorian (c.1837-1901), with later screws.
