A Late George III Mahogany, Purple Heart and Boxwood-Strung Secretaire Bookcase. Early 19th century, with the upper section having astragal-glazed doors enclosing three adjustable shelves. The deep fall-front secretaire drawer features a green-baize interior, eight pigeonholes and eight small mahogany drawers all around a central cupboard door, below which there are three long drawers all with later handles. Finished on bracket feet.Overall condition is very good with age-related wear & tear. We have noted a small piece of veneer missing toward the back left of the bookcase section, but this does not detract from the charm of this wonderful piece of Georgian cabinetry.Delivery within the UK mainland (excluding Devon, Cornwall, Scotland & Wales) is free of charge and will be completed by my own privately appointed courier.
