A very smart light mahogany partners desk, of useful size (i.e. not too big), having a light green hand tooled leather inset stepped top, with an arrangement of graduated drawers on one side with various divisions etc. and a pair of cupboards on the opposing side, with brass handles and working locks with keys. Some of the locks are stamped S & P, B (for Shapland & Petter of Barnstable), and there is a Heal�s Contracts Ltd label affixed to the underneath of the top. Heal�s contracted certain firms such as S & P to make various lines of furniture for them around the 20�s and 30�s, including beds and more commercial / office pieces like this. As useful today as it was ninety odd years ago.Condition:Some fading and wear but overall good and no issues.
