This lovely mahogany bed is brimming with detail and has lovely arched shaping on the head end which has lovely fluted and tapered column posts with stunning brass Corinthian column shaped capitol. Further brass detailing seen throughout the bed with very nice brass regency style moulding and quadrant brass beading along the edges of the woodwork.

Stunning mahogany and fruitwood parquetry throughout. The head end and main section of the foot end has diamond shape parquetry and the foot end also has delightful quarter veneer detailing just under the top of the foot end, and particularly attractive chequered parquetry at the bottom of the foot end.

The foot end of the bed also has fabulous fluted tapered posts adorned with brass ormolu floral garland. As well as lots of brass beading to define thew woodwork and shaping of the bed.

All in all, a truly stunning bed and a fabulous example of the skilled craftsmanship of the era. We have cleaned and restored to ensure a beautiful, solid and sturdy bed. This bed is suitable for a UK modern King size mattress 150cm x 200cm inside the siderails and a 5’ x 6’6” mattress on top of the siderails.

Whole bed has been checked and sympathetically restored to ensure solid, sturdy construction and good assembly.

Price includes wood slats (sorry not mattress). As an alternative to the wood slats we can supply mini box bases for superior mattress support and to raise the get into bed height.
