Antique Pine Domed Top Trunk

Description

An antique pine dome toped trunk of pleasing proportions, with a round brass escuthceon plate to the front. The trunk displays a lovely light pine colour, with well-defined grain throughout lending it a clean and unfussy appearance. The gently curved lid adds visual interest and softens the overall form, making it an attractive and practical storage piece. The hinged lid opens to reveal a spacious interior, complete with candle box to one side. Overall a lovely piece.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition. There are areas of wear and loss including the front right side of the lid (pictured). There is also noticeable wear to the feet. Despite these imperfections, the trunk remains structurally solid and sound. It has been recently finished with a fresh coat of natural wax, enhancing the colour and grain while retaining its honest character.
