Elmgarden has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
This is a lovely old sign, it is French in origin, as are so many things to do with fine food.
The Sturgeon hangs swimming out from the wall, still sound condition with a bit of weathering to the paint, a very rare piece and well worth adding to any collection or it would be authentic shop decoration, especially where caviar might be found
The sign is 19” high and 56” long and about 6” from side to side
