Description

This is a superb antique 19th Century Swiss carved walnut and marquetry inlaid musical chair.

It has a striking  bold leaf and fretted carved back of shaped outline, carved with Edelweiss which is centred by a cartouche decorated of a boy with a stag and a goat and raised  on carved shaped legs. The shaped and moulded folded seat enclosing a small musical box, by Geo Baker and Co., Geneve, Switzerland.

It is a very handsome piece which would look perfect in any study or library.

Condition:

In excellent condition having been beautifully cleaned and waxed in our workshops, please see photos for confirmation.
