Heinrich Rudolf Schinz’s (Natural History and Illustrations of Men and Mammals) is a significant 19th-century zoological work, published between 1824 and 1836. Known for its detailed, hand-colored lithographs by Karl Joseph Brodtmann, the work combined scientific classification with aesthetic, often dramatic, depictions of mammals and ethnographic studies .
