A beautiful solid silver early Victorian card case. It is hallmarked with Chinese marks including the 85 minimum silver standard mark. It dates to c1880-1900. It has been superbly made been finely embossed with a bird in prunus branches and chrysanthemum flowers. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, tiny marks to the bottom corner see final photo. It measures 3.25 inches (8.3cms) tall by 2 inches (5.2cms) wide and weighs 53 grams. A superbly designed beautifully example.
