Corvidae Antique has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The cameo is set into an ornately chased 15-carat gold mount with a lovely rich colour. The piece was likely originally a button or stick pin but has been sympathetically converted and we believe the rosy nine-carat shank and back to be Victorian.

SIZE: J (UK)/4.75 (US). The cameo measures 1.6cm across. The face of the ring is just under 2cm diameter and it sits around 7mm above the finger.
WEIGHT: 5.7g.
MATERIALS: 15-carat (625) gold, nine-carat (375) gold, sardonyx.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: Stamped 9CT inside the shank.
CONDITION: In good antique condition, there is a small dent and some signs of solder when viewed from the back where the ring was converted. The cameo is in great condition with no chips, cracks or damage.
ERA: Estimated Georgian (c.1714-1837) with later 19th century conversion.
