Fifteen-carat gold pieces are not overly common (in the UK only really used between 1854 and 1932) and this fineness was generally used in high quality pieces.

CONDITION: In good antique condition; some of the stones and the claws are quite worn on the surface but the stones are all firmly set. There is a dark mark where the ring has been resized. The shoulders have a pattern which is worn smooth toward the back.
HALLMARKS/STAMPS: Hallmarked for 15-carat gold, Birmingham Assay Office. The ring has been resized at some time and the date letter is lost.
ERA: Victorian (c.1837-1901).
