Vintage 3.25 Carat Opal Solitaire Ring, Circa 1940

Description

A truly special vintage opal ring. The natural, high domed, round cabochon opal has bright white body colour with a clear green, orange and yellow play-of-colour. The stone is secured by six platinum double claws, and sits on a slim and tapering 18k white gold shank.

Accompanied by an independent jewellery report from WGI.

Cut: Cabochon.

Carat: Approximately 3.25.

Circa: 1940.

Size: Q (UK) or 8 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements: The opal is 11.68 x 11.49mm and sits 7.0mm from the finger.

Weight: 3.24 grams.

Metal: The opal is set in platinum, on a 18k white gold shank. Tested with a Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer.
