Gerald Neville Antiques has dated this Impressionist Water Lilies Painting to the 1900s.
The water lilies and lily pads were a major factor of Monet’s garden and numerous famous artists would visit Claude Monet at his Normandy home and paint with him. This particular oil painting sketch has aged with patination, that could possibly be cleaned by a professional restorer if required. Although, its age is part of the paintings charm.

This oil painting on board is almost certainly an impressionist artists sketch for a later full oil on canvas in our opinion, which of course many impressionists, especially from France did in the 1900’s Impressionism era, including Claude Monet and Picasso etc
The gilded rococo frame was an obvious later addition, which doesn’t complement this beautiful impressionist oil painting sketch.
