Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Czechoslovakian scent bottles from the Art Deco era are known for bold geometry, sculptural stoppers, and contrasting coloured or acid-etched glass. Produced predominantly between the 1920s and 1930s, these vanity items featured relief moulding inspired by figurative, botanical, and abstract modern motifs.

These bottles were typically manufactured using press-moulded lead or soda glass. Glassmakers utilized two-part or multi-part iron moulds to form relief patterns, often combining dark or frosted glass bases with vividly coloured glass stoppers that were hand-ground for a precise fit.

Authentic pieces often feature an acid-stamped mark on the base, such as Made in Czechoslovakia or Czecho-Slovakia. Look for hand-ground stopper joints, crisp relief details from quality moulding, and heavy glass weight appropriate for the era.

Position the bottle where natural light can pass through the glass, such as on a bedroom vanity table, a marble bathroom counter, or a styled display tray. Combining glass objects of varying heights and tones creates a balanced decorative arrangement.

Wash the glass gently with lukewarm water and mild detergent, avoiding harsh chemicals or abrasive sponges. Ensure the stopper joint is completely dry before reinserting to prevent moisture trapping or glass binding over time.
