Pair Large Heavy Victorian English Sterling Silver Napkin Rings - 1897

Description

A really wonderful pair of antique sterling silver napkin rings, sitting in their original silk and velvet lined presentation case.

The rings are very large, made of hefty thick gauge sterling silver, the two combined weighing 3.56 Troy Ounces or 110.7 Grams.

Each has a grand beaded border top and bottom, framing the super quality engraved decoration; each having a vacant cartouche at the front, perfect for engraving by your silversmith should you wish to personalize for that very special gift, these would be a perfect wedding gift.

There is of course a full English hallmark for Sheffield 1897, together with the makers initials, HA for the well renowned silversmiths, The Atkin Brothers - Harry Atkin.

The domed box is in excellent condition, with the interior of the lid lined in silk is gold embossed for the retailer, " Penlington & Batty / Liverpool & Manchester ".

Excellent condition, each ring measures 1 5/8" thick with a diameter measuring 2".
