Tall Pier Glass Mirror C.1930

1920 - 1940
Description

Impressive tall French overmantle mirror or pier glass c.1930. Big enough to use as a full length dressing mirror. 27" x 72.5" arch-top mirror plate with a bevelled edge. In a pale grey painted wooden frame with moulded and gilded gesso decoration. Topped with a shield cartouche with gilded floral garlands to each side and with further garlands draped from it's tip across the upper portion of the glass. Gilded roundels, egg and dart moulding and bead detail to the frame. Very good condition with some retouching. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
