Antique Doulton Lambeth Oil lamp standing 67cm with a maximum diameter of 19cm.This stunning lamp is in the form of an urn and was produced in the 1880s by Doulton Lambeth. The main body of the lamp is a light green and is decorated in the Japonism style with birds perched upon prunus blossom twigs and various decorative medallions also featuring birds. The lamp has the usual Doulton marks and also the incised monogram MA which I believe is the mark of Mary Aitken.A brass Hinks Lugged No. 2 Duplex burner is fitted into the fonts collar, it has a single working wick winder which operates both new wicks and is clearly marked �Hinks Lever No.2�.
