AC Silver has dated this Victorian Silver Presentation Bowl to the 1890s.

The lower portion of this antique silver bowl is encircled with a band of impressive chased leaf decoration.
The upper portion of the bowl is ornamented with chased decorated oval medallions, accented with a fabric swag and tied ribbon design.

The upper rim is encompassed with a plain applied moulded border to the rim.
The bowl is fitted with two fine and original hallmarked loop handles, accented with impressive cast and applied lion mask sockets.

This antique silver bowl with lion handles is a commanding and decorative piece, ideally suited for display on a dining table, sideboard or mantelpiece, where it can serve as a centrepiece, a functional vessel, or simply be admired as a statement object.

Condition
This antique bowl is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in excellent condition.
The chased, cast and applied decoration is all very sharp.
Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the bowl are very clear; the maker's mark is partially worn due to the nature of the rounded surface.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this exceptional Victorian silver bowl.
