Aramis Antiques has dated this George II Silver Tablespoon to the 1800s.
The tablespoon is made in the Hanoverian design, typical of the early Georgians. It features an ornate shell on the back of the bowl, which sets it apart from the ordinary. It bears the original owners initials WT on the back of the shaft, also typical of the time. No doubt people travelled and needed to be able to identifique their belongings from others! It’s in excellent condition. Weight 2.5oz.
