Youngs Antiques has dated this Flamboyant Gothic Oak Cupboard to the 16th Century.
The cupboard consists of two small cupboards over two drawers and a larger bottom cupboard. All of the doors have working iron sliding locks complete with a key. The whole front fascade of the cupboard is heavily decorated with flamboyant gothic carving, flamboyant taken from the French meaning of ''flaming'' ,which refers to a style of late gothic architecture seen in the whole of europe from the late 14th century to the mid 16th century.

The three doors and the four vented fret-work panels are decorated with helmets and shields, between the top two doors is a gothic niche with a boxwood saint, which is possibly saint barbara the patron saint of armourers.

The interior of the cupboard has a shelved interior, all of the shelver are removable.
Overall the cupboard is in fantastic condition and has a lovely colour with a superb patina.
