Rawlings Antiques has dated this piece to the Regency era.
The richly figured one-piece top, measuring 138 cm (54.3 inches) in diameter, displays an attractive, warm patina and subtle grain variation, characteristic of high-quality Regency mahogany.

The top tilts smoothly on its original mechanism, resting on a turned and reeded pedestal column, raised on four elegant, downswept legs with fine reeding, terminating in original brass claw-and-ball castors. The table retains excellent colour and surface, with only minor, age-appropriate wear consistent with careful use.

The pedestal base allows for excellent legroom, making the table well suited for dining or entertaining, comfortably seating six, or up to eight when required. A strong and well-balanced form, combining practical functionality with the refined proportions and restrained ornamentation typical of the Regency period.

An elegant and versatile table, ideal for use as a dining table, centre table, or statement piece in both traditional and contemporary interiors.
England, circa 1815–1825.
