A fine quality William IV Period rosewood Canterbury designed by J.C louden. Having four divisions with finely carved laurel leaves and finials. Having a rectangular mahogany lined drawer and raised on turned and carved feet with the original brass castors. English C1835-1840. In wonderful original condition, a lovely colour and patina

Dimensions: 22" wide x 22" high x 15" deep

The J.C Louden encyclopaedia states that the four prevailing fashion styles are the Grecian, Gothic, Tudor and Louis Quatorze, all generally interpreted by adding applicable stylistic ornaments to standard forms of furniture
