French Kingwood Secrétaire Abattant With Ormolu & Marble Top

A quality French secrétaire abattant constructed in kingwood with finely executed parquetry panels and decorative gilt bronze ormolu mounts. Dating to circa 1900, this piece retains its original marble top and displays elegant serpentine shaping throughout.
 
The fall-front opens to reveal a writing surface, with drawers below offering useful storage. A fine example of French cabinetmaking with excellent colour and patination.
