Fine late 19th century Australian Aboriginal First Nation throwing club, c1890. Commonly referred to as a Waddy, Nulla-nulla or Boondi, these hardwood clubs or hunting sticks are used as a weapon in combat, for ceremonial purposes and more commonly as a throwing stick for hunting. This is a very genuine example, lovely primitive hand chip/incised carving of a Koala and foliage, heavy for its size at 0.4kg with great colour/patina. Overall condition is good with no obvious issues.
