Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Early 20th-century Royal Worcester porcelain is renowned for fine bone china bodies, elaborate hand-painted naturalistic scenes, and soft gilded accents. During this era, skilled in-house artists signed distinct decorative works featuring birds, landscapes, and botanical studies.

These vessels were crafted from refined china clay, fired at high temperatures, and finished with overglaze enamels. Skilled artisans applied gold leaf or liquid gold gilding to accentuate handles, rims, and bases prior to a final firing process.

Authenticity is verified through printed or impressed factory backmarks, date codes, and artist signatures. Standard factory marks often feature a crown over a circle containing the number 51, accompanied by dots or letters indicating the specific year of production.

Display the vase as a focal piece on a fireplace mantelpiece, sideboard, or within a glass display cabinet. Pair it with neutral backdrops to allow the detailed brushwork and gilt embellishments to stand out.

Dust gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth to prevent scratching the surface enamels or rubbing off delicate gilding. Avoid using abrasive chemical cleaners, harsh detergent washes, or submersing the object in water.
