Bohemian glass originates from the regions of Bohemia and Silesia, now part of the Czech Republic. It gained international renown during the 17th to 19th centuries due to its high clarity, durable quality, and the invention of specialised cutting, engraving, and colouring techniques.

These pieces were crafted by mouth-blowing glass into shape, often using metal oxides such as gold chloride to achieve deep ruby or cranberry tones.
