A beautiful set of four octagonal ashetts, each displaying a clean white ground enriched with finely detailed blue floral decoration. The borders are embellished with scrolling foliate motifs and stylised blossoms, framing a central floral medallion. The transfer-printed design reflects the romantic botanical tastes that flourished in Victorian Britain. Their octagonal form, softened at the corners, is typical of mid-19th-century serving wares, traditionally used for presenting meats, fish, or vegetables. The reverse bears both the diamond-shaped British registration mark and the Indian Festoon pattern stamp, confirming their period authenticity.
Large ashett: 57cm wide × 44.5cm deep
Medium ashett: 55.5cm wide × 43cm deep
Two small ashetts: 51.5cm wide × 40cm deep
All measurements are done to the widest point .
