A fine example of a 17thc cast iron civil war cannon ball, reputed to have come from the second and longest siege of Worcester, which took place from 21st May 1646 and finished on the 23rd July 1646, with the defeat of Charles 1 Royalists by Oliver Cromwell''s Parliamentarians...it was a bloody battle which left 3,000 dead and another 10,000 imprisoned....so this is a real piece of history and is in very good condition, mounted on a specially made stand complete with brass plaque...
English. C1646.
