Description

This tall and very elegant Art Deco sterling silver sugar caster was made by The Adie Brothers and is dated Birmingham 1937. The tapered cylindrical body with a pull-off stepped cover and circular pedestal foot. The pierced removable cover with stepped finial.

Hallmarks:

A Bros for the Adie Brothers.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Date letter "N" for 1937.

Lion Passant.

Dimensions and weight:

Height: 16 cm - 6.2 inches.

Base diameter: 5cm / 2 inches.

Weight: 91g / 3.1 oz

Condition:

Excellent condition, no dings or dents.
