Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian Royal Worcester porcelain is renowned for delicate, hand-painted floral motifs, soft blush-tinted or gradient grounds, and subtle gilding on handles and rims. Produced during the early 20th century, these ceramics often featured naturalistic artwork painted by master artists.

These pieces were crafted from fine bone china or porcelain body, decorated using overglaze enamel paints, and finished with burnished gold leaf gilding along decorative handles and borders.

Authentic pieces feature a printed factory mark on the base, which includes a date code systemsuch as a series of dots or letters beneath the standard crown and circle markalong with artist signatures or shape numbers stamped into the clay.

Displaying a painted porcelain vase on a dark wood sideboard, mantelpiece, or alongside contrasting contemporary decor creates an elegant focal point that bridges classic heritage style with modern aesthetics.

Clean gently using a soft, dry microfibre cloth or feather duster to remove dust. Avoid immersing the vase in water, using abrasive sponges, or applying harsh chemical cleaners, as these can strip overglaze enamel artwork and gold leaf gilding.
