A Queen Anne Period Walnut Wing Chair.

A fabulous queen anne walnut wing chair in untouched original condition, the cabriole legs having pad feet and carved scallop shell knees. The surface of the timber has a lovely cruddy dark patine with the rubbed raised area having the deep rich red patina of the walnut coming through. The chair has a number of old restorations and requires some minor restoration. It does have wood worm in a few areas commensurate with age, and it requires reupholstery. The chair is in good solid order and it is quite rare to come across a genuine queen anne wing chair, this is an excellent example for any serious collector of early 18th century english furniture.
