A Rare French Painted Console Table with Trumeau Style Mirror 19th C

Description

A truly rare French painted and giltwood console table with Trumeau style mirror. Beautifully adorned with carved garlands of flowers & acanthus leaves.

The stretcher beneath the table as a carved urn with flowers at its centre. The mirror as an oval painting of a romantic pastoral scene. The mirror plates are original with bevelled edges.

Condition,

The mirror as slight foxing.

The paintwork is original, in untouched condition with some losses.

Marble small crack to front, stable.

Some old worm holes to the back.

Long gone but we have retreated.
