Bedsteads has dated this piece to the 1880s.
Below this sits a stunning carving of Arrows, quiver and band which achieves a great sense of depth and dimension. The head end has three raised panels with very nice fruitwood quarter veneer detail.
Both head and foot has fabulous shaping, the whole bed is adorned with lovely details. The ‘corners’ of the head and foot end panels have a very nice foliate carving which extends the panels which feels quite playful for beds of this style. Both head and foot end even has detail on the sides of the panels, in the form of rolling/scrolled ribbon carving.
The foot end has raised quarter veneer panels and even more detail than the head end with an attractive bombe front with a very lovely carved basket brimming with flowers, foliate detail and ribbon carving.

we have cleaned and restored to ensure a solid and sturdy bed. This bed is suitable for a UK modern King size mattress 150cm x 200cm.
Whole bed has been checked and sympathetically restored to ensure solid, sturdy construction and good assembly.
Price includes wood slats (sorry not mattress). As an alternative to the wood slats we can supply mini box bases for superior mattress support and to raise the get into bed height.
