The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this Vintage Mappin Chronograph Watch to the 1960s.
The watch has a Swiss 17-jewel Landeron 248 hand-winding movement which is working nicely.
The watch measures 35mm wide excluding the winding crown, and 35mm high excluding the lugs.
The stainless steel screw-on case back states that the watch is water resistant but, as with any vintage watches, it should be kept away from water and moisture.

The dial is signed Mappin, the original retailer of the watch. It is in lovely condition with original hands. The chronograph feature is operated by pressing the top button to start, the bottom button to stop and again re-set to zero. There are two subsidiary dials, one for constant seconds and the other to record up to 30 minutes.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
