Quiet Street Antiques of Bath has dated this Antique Tunbridge Ware Box to the 1800s.
The lid opens to reveal firstly, the writing box, with its pair of original ink bottles , complete with Old Sheffield Plate lids, and the writing surface which amazingly retains its original baize writing surface.
This contains set of four turned “barrel'” cotton reels; set of four containers for gold and silver thread; pair of cut-glass scent bottles; turned tape measure and the original (perfect) turned thimble ~ itself a rare survival.

The pink pastel paper lining retains its vibrant original colour in lovely condition and even the original (working) key survives. A gorgeous and rare box; 12ins wide; 10.5ins deep front-to-back (30 x 26cms). Highly recommended.

There are two tiny pieces of veneer missing from the extreme right-hand side of the lower drawer. (See image)
