Quality Deco Silver Enamel Box London 1934

1920 - 1940
Description

A lovely quality Deco era silver box with inset guilloche enamel lid with clear hallmarks for London 1934 and makers mark for Mappin & Webb. The whole of this box and lid is silver hallmarked on the side of the lid and the outer rim of the base. The lid is inset with bright red green guilloche enamel in a target pattern surrounded by wavy undulations to highlight variations of light on the enamel, creating a light and dark effect. The interior is gold sprayed, as expected for an item of this quality. The condition is beautiful, very little signs of wear or use. Weight 4oz/120gr.
