AC Silver has dated this Edwardian Silver Cake Stand to the 1900s.

The incurved, arched frame is embellished with reed decoration and conjoins to the upper portion with a plain ball style finial.
The stand is composed of three circular receivers, each retaining their original hallmarked plates.

The original plates each bear a plain circular well and further reed decoration to the plateaued rim.
This antique silver cake stand is supported by three lobed feet.
By virtue of its size, this versatile stand could be used for a multitude of functions; solid sterling silver miniature examples are becoming increasingly difficult to locate and are highly desirable.

This miniature sterling silver cake stand is a charming and unusual piece, prized for its delicate scale and decorative appeal. It is ideal for collectors of miniature silver or lovers of fine tableware.
