Antique 3.03 Carat Unheated Ceylon Sapphire Ring. Circa 1915

1900 - 1920
Description

A beautiful natural and unheated Ceylon sapphire solitaire ring. The long cushion cut sapphire in the centre displays a rich and vivid blue, and is secured by four double claws. The split shoulders are overlaid by a spear-shaped centre, leading to a slim D-shaped shank.

Accompanied by a sapphire report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory stating the sapphire shows no evidence of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.

Cut: Cushion.

Clarity: Loupe clean.

Carat: 3.03.

Circa: 1915.

Size: O (UK) or 7 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements: The sapphire is 8.8 x 6.6mm and sits 6.25mm from the finger.

Weight: 3.83 grams.

Metal: 18k yellow gold. Tested with a Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer.
