A beautiful and very well made antique Victorian rosewood duet piano stool / bench. This was made in England, it dates from the 1880-1900 period.The quality is excellent this has a gorgeous and very useful design. Designed for duets at a piano, this is very useful as a storage bench for an entry way, window seat or even at the foot of a bed. The frame is beautifully constructed, with beautiful carving on the edges, and tapered legs terminating in spade feet. The front and back are finished identically, so it can be used as a free standing item. The upholstered seat lifts up to reveal a useful storage compartment.We have had this re-polished and the seat has been re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric.
