This very collectable late 18thc pewter lidded ale jug is a fine example of georgian tavern ware, from around 1770-1790 and engraved with what is probably the tavern name..... ''3, Pidgeons And Stout, Hatfield Street''.... the front is finely engraved in ''old'' script with initials WM..... the style is typical of the 18thc..... the ale jug is made from heavy-gauge pewter with a quality ''knuckle hinge'' and topped with a raised domed lid and shaped flat thumbpiece....it is in very good condition with a fine natural patina and comes from a very good private collection.
English. C1770-90.
Payment can be made by Bank Transfer , all you will need are my Bank Details, which I will send you or off line by Credit / Debit card ,..... e-mail or telephone your card details (long card number, expiry date and three security digits on the reverse of the card) through to me and I will do the rest .
