In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A Pembroke table is a lightweight, portable drop-leaf table introduced in the eighteenth century, designed to be stored against a wall or beside furniture and moved easily for tea, breakfast, or writing.

Georgian Pembroke tables were primarily constructed from fine timbers such as mahogany, satinwood, or rosewood, often featuring oak or pine secondary woods for drawer linings and brass castors on the feet.

Authentic period pieces feature hand-sawn timber marks, hand-cut dovetail drawer joints, original brass hardware, wooden hinged brackets supporting the leaves, and naturally aged timber oxidisation beneath the table top.

A Pembroke table functions ideal as a versatile side table beside a sofa, a compact desk in a hallway, or an occasional accent table in a living area, allowing the drop leaves to extend surface area when required.

Maintain the surface by dusting with a dry microfibre cloth and applying a high-quality beeswax polish once or twice a year, ensuring the piece is kept away from direct sunlight and radiators to protect the finish.
