A superb matched pair of French kingwood vitrines, richly mounted with gilt bronze (ormolu) and crowned with elegant marble tops, circa 1880. Each cabinet features full glazing with glazed sides and glass display shelves, creating a refined showcase for porcelain, sculpture, objets d’art or treasured collections.
The lower sections are decorated with Vernis Martin painted panels (including signed examples attributed to V. Gossens), framed by scrolling ormolu mounts, with further mounts to the corners and apron. A rare opportunity to acquire a true pair with strong colour, presence and decorative impact.
