Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Nouveau lighting design, popular from the 1890s to 1910, is defined by organic, flowing lines inspired by natural forms such as plants, flowers, and vines. Fixtures frequently incorporate sweeping whiplash curves, asymmetrical silhouettes, and cast metalwork detailing.

French Art Nouveau lamps were commonly constructed using heavy cast bronze, spelter, brass, or iron for the base structure. These bases were often patinated to achieve deep brown or green tones and paired with decorative glass shades, such as moulded frosted glass or stained art glass.

Authentic period pieces exhibit precise casting details with hand-chased surface finishing and natural wear to the patina around handled areas. They generally feature substantial physical weight, early electrical components or evidence of conversion from gas or oil, and occasionally makers foundry stamps.

An antique bronze lamp can be styled on a modern sideboard, console, or writing desk to introduce textural contrast. Complementing the dark metal base with a simple silk or linen shade softens the lighting and bridges historic craftsmanship with contemporary decor.

Maintain patinated bronze by dusting regularly with a soft, lint-free cloth or camel-hair brush. Avoid chemical cleaners, water, or abrasive polishes, as these can strip the original aged surface layer; a light application of neutral microcrystalline wax can be used occasionally to protect the finish.
