Lee Hawkins Antiques & Interiors has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
Housed in a finely proportioned flame mahogany case with elegant swept sides, carved rosette terminals, and a stepped base, surmounted by its original brass finial.

The painted dial with Roman numerals is signed Grant, Fleet Street, London and is fitted with a brass bezel. The substantial brass movement, also signed and numbered, is visible to the rear and remains complete. Pendulum, bell, and key are present (see photographs).

This piece is sold as-is, untested by us, and has not been serviced - allowing the next custodian full control over conservation or restoration decisions.
