This 19th century puzzle ball is decorated with concentric circles.
One of the circlular roundels can be pushed in to release a small box where the snuf , sovereigns or rouge can be stored. etc
These were popular in the mid 1800s as pocket size pieces for storing coins and snuff in.
This example measures approx 6cm diameter.
