Antique 0.81 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, Circa 1910

Description

An almost unreal Edwardian engagement ring. To find a diamond as white as this is rare, but to find an old cut as white as this is frankly incredible. This utterly glowing old cut diamond (graded by GIA as D colour, VS2 clarity) is secured by four double claws at each corner, and sits atop a slim, 18k yellow gold shank set with eight (four each side) eight-cut diamonds in the shoulders.

Accompanied by a GIA Natural Diamond Grading Report.

Cut:? Old mine cut (eight-cuts in the shoulders).

Colour:? D (E to F in the shoulders).

Clarity:? VS2 in the centre (VS1 to VS2 in the shoulders).

Carat:? 0.81 in the centre, with a further approximate 0.08 carat total in the shoulders.

Circa:? 1910.

Size:? L 1/2 (UK) or 5 7/8 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements:? The diamond is 5.70 x 5.28mm. Sits 5.1mm from the finger.

Weight:? 2.14 grams.

Metal:? 18k gold. Tested with a Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer.
